Opportunity Sheffield is the employment and skills service within Sheffield City Council.
Working alongside the local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise partners, we help local people get into employment, particularly those who are experiencing participants to overcome barriers to employment and career progression.
We also support employed residents who have a career development need, including those in low-paid, low-skilled work, on zero hours contracts or at risk of redundancy.
Our Employer Activation team works with Sheffield employers to identify, hire and retain employees, promoting inclusive recruitment to help build stronger teams.
Our strategic work with local and regional partners identifies gaps in employment and skills services and aims to fill them.
