About the training

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) commissions a range of training courses on Autism and Learning Disabilities. The Adult Care, Housing and Public Health Directorate oversees the commissioning of these courses. Ranging from raising awareness to more in-depth specialist content, all our courses are fully funded. They are all delivered by an Expert by Experience, and are designed to suit the different learning and development needs of people providing support.

The main recipients of the training are people who work with and support adults with Autism and/or a Learning Disability. However, volunteers, carers and anyone with a specific interest in learning more can attend.

To find out more about Autism and Learning Disabilities training courses that are available to support employers and the wider workforce please email claire.tester@rotherham.gov.uk or telephone 01709 334086
